It's Rainy Days (Tribute to Kewek)

Saat2 pulang dari keje ptg tadi, meredah ujan yg agak lebat..menyingkap memori silam..
(cewah, berbunga pulak posting aku ni...)

Sebelum April, memang Kewek hitam (aka Kriss BJE 561) aku tu menjadi tunggangan ke ofis..
Oleh sebab desakan isteri & kesihatan yg masih tak menentu, maka berpeluanglah Vios berjalan2 pulak.
Tapi aku prefer naik moto? Kenape?
Murah , cepat & tak berapa selamat..hehe..

Walaupun tahu risiko bermotosikal, tapi aku mmg selesa. Risiko ada di mana2. Yg penting cara pemanduan & pengisian masa atas motor.
Selain takyah bayar tol, arrival time kebiasaannye lebih baik rekodnye berbanding AirAsia. (Haha, kalo Tony Fernandez baca mesti berbulu ni..)
Tak perlu cuti sekolah utk tunggu jalan menjadi clear bak trek F1 Sepang..
Tak perlu risau ujan lebat ke, banjir kilat utk aku teruskan perjalanan..
Traffic jem? I like...menyelit bak pelesit (tapi aku menyelit ade etika, siap bagi signal ok!)

Cuma apabila tayar pancit, maka berdoalah agar ade pomen2 jalanan yg berlegar berhampiran anda..

Kembali pada cerita asal, dlm hujan yg lebat & ade keta yg stuck oleh kerana enjin masuk air (psl jln Glenmarie banjir kilat)
mat2 motor dgn bangganya memotong segala jenis Merc, BMW, Lexus, Saga dll..
Aku cuma tersenyum sendirian. Akulah antara mereka dahulunya.. Tak sabar nak merempit semula..

Tatkala & tika itu (ape da aku merapek ni..), org2 yg dlm kereta merintih "kalaulah aku naik motor, mesti dah sampai rumah" dan org2 yg atas motor pula mengadu "kalaulah ada kereta, takyah la meredah ujan..kene demam & risiko2 eksiden yg pelbagai"

Sesungguhnya manusia pasti akan melihat kelebihan orang lain & amat jarang sekali mensyukuri apa yg kite miliki.
Aku tak terkecuali..
Maka berwaspadalah kite dgn musuh yg tak nampak (nafsu & syaitan) agar tidak kufur dgn apa yg Allah kurniakan..

Wallahua'lam..

P/S: Sekadar perkongsian, motor or keta..dua2 pun aku suka..
Mcm yg aku ckp, pengisian yg penting..
Kalau naik motor, sempat la baca zikir, ayat2 Quran pun bole refresh & refresh..
tak dpt la nak layan Hotfm ke, ape ke...

kalo naik keta plak, pagi tu layan kuliah ustaz Zahazan (6.30am-6.45am:Ikimfm 91.5) & Ustaz Wan Sohor/Fauzi (6.45am-7.00am:KLfm 97.2).
Lps 7 layan Hotfm especially panggilan hangit..7.15am dah sampai ofis daa..
balik keje, layan Hotfm..kalo dah maghrib bukak la Ikimfm..
memang best naik keta, byk pilihan halwa telinga..

Apapun, aku tetap rindukan Kewekku...
Oh Kewek, we will be together again..

::Vacancies::

On my way to the office yesterday, I overheard the DJ read a few headlines of the day.
This one really caught my attention..

We need at least 200 oncologists but have only 39, says Liow

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is currently facing an acute shortage of oncologists, said Health Minister Datuk Liow Tiong Lai.
He said the ideal ratio should be eight oncologists per one million people.
“So for Malaysia’s population of 26 million, we should have at least 200 oncologists, but we have only 39 at the moment.
“We are very, very short on oncologists,” he told reporters after opening the First Asia Pacific Conference on Healthy Policy and Planning yesterday.
He added that foreign oncologists had been brought in, but the numbers were still low.
It does not help that there are about 30,000 to 40,000 new cancer cases each year.
“According to the first National Cancer Registry report in 2002, Malaysia men and women have among the world’s highest rate of nasopharyngeal, laryngeal and cervical cancers,” he said.
Liow added the World Health Organisation (WHO) estimated 7.6 million people died of cancer in 2005 and that another 84 million people will die from cancer in the next 10 years.
To deal with the problem, Liow said that more oncologists needed to be trained.
“The Health Ministry is also finalising a National Cancer Management Blueprint for the period of 2008 to 2015 which will streamline the fight against cancer. I will have to brief the Cabinet first.
“With this blueprint, our vision is that by 2025, cancer will no longer be a public health problem in Malaysia,” he said.
He added that the Ministry was in the process of building a National Cancer Institute in Putrajaya under the Ninth Malaysia Plan.
“This will be a national referral centre for cancer in the same manner as the National Heart Institute is for heart diseases,” he said.

All cancer patients, after the tumor removal will normally consult oncologists to see next course of action, whether radiotherapy, chemotherapy or even nuclear therapy!!

Yes, I would say oncologists are really close to me..
Out of 39, I already met more or less 10 of them. 6 alone are in HUKM, another 5 when I was in Damansara Specialist.
Their assistance, advice & patience while attending to my case will never be forgotten. May Allah bless you all for your noble job. Amin..

So, if any of your kin wish to be a doctor, hope they will fill in this vacancy. This is my plea, really..

P/S: I wish my daughter too.. :-)

Follow-up

Although I'd completed my chemotherapy treatment quite some time ago, I still need to see doctor once every two months.
Yes, any cancer patient will be under surveillance within 1-2 years, to ensure that the cancer cell is totally out of the picture.

My latest follow-up was last Thursday, which blood test & x-ray were done simultaneously.
Alhamdulillah...everything are OK for this moment. And I do hope it will be forever, Amin..

During the session, I also raised my curiosity on when I can father another child.
As expected, Dr. Ros advised me to wait for at least 1 year or two. The longer is better. This is due to the fact that chemotherapy might gave an impact to my body cell, or genes in particular. Not a risk-taker as I am, I will follow the advice accordingly. Since my wife underwent Caesarean delivery on our 1st baby, I believe this is one of the 'hikmah'.
At least, more focus can be spent on her development. As always, think positively on anything that happen.

In fact, I should be grateful. There are unfortunate people who wish to have a baby but couldn't or haven't.
I truly understand those.

Sometimes Allah's plan works in most mysterious ways..Be patient & content with whatever Allah's will.
That's all I can say..

Wallahua'lam..

Journey to KK ::Post Mortem::

First & foremost
Syukur pada Allah..atas nikmat rezeki & kesihatan yg dikurniakan..

Special thanks to Acit & Nadey (hotel booking), Tony & Jonathon (Innova), mak ayah Nadey (dinner & tour), Azim, Faiza & Nuha (airport fetch)

Sebenarnya, dah lama kitorg plan nak g KK.
Wife pun tak penah naik flight..So bile Airasia buat promo RM0 fare, kitorg pun sambar le tiket tu..
Rule no.1, never fly during public or school holidays..
So dpt le tiket yg murah skt..cuma bayar tax, luggage & admin fee..

Scene 1
Tiket murah punye psl, kene la amik flight seawal jam 6.50am.
Kene le bgn awal..seawal 4 pg..Azim yg risau aku tak sampai2..hehe..
nyaris2 tak smpt check in..sampai2 dah pkl 6am..fuh...

Scene 2
Utk first-timer..
setengah jam dlm kapal terbang, dah terasa bosan...
hehehe..ni nasib baik takde transit mane2 ni yang..
maybe next time kite naik business / 1st class la...baru tak boring kot..hahaha

Scene 3
Handphone??mane handphone ummi nih???
miss call punye miss call..geledah punye geledah..
tak jumpe2...hmm,alamat dah kene kebas la kot..
kesian..tak sampai sejam kat KK, mood dah spoilt...ape nak buat..
sekali tu..dalam lubang tandas daa....kat toyota showroom plak tu!!!
nostalgic sungguh..
sape yg tukang seluk tu???yarrkkkk...
takpe la,janji simcard selamat..camne la org nak wish besday nanti???
hehehe

Scene 4
Hujan emas negeri org..hujan batu negeri sendiri
baik lagi negeri sendiri..

bila direnung2 balik..ada benarnya ungkapan tu..

maybe kerana majoriti penduduknya yg non-muslim, maka kami agak berhati2 dlm memilih tpt mkn..

bukan la maksudnye tpt org tu tak bagus..
kebiasaannya kita akan lebih selesa dgn tempat kite sendiri..
kalo dah biasa, mungkin takde la rasa tak selesa sgt..

Scene 5
Antara yg org advise bile ke Sabah ni adalah seafoodnye yg 'masyuk'...
Maka, 1st night tu kitorg pegi la kat satu restoran ni...
maskot lobster dah terkangkang kat entrance..
nama restoran tu Port View rase2nye...

Melihat ikan & udang yg menari2 dlm akuarium utk disauk, kami pun terus la landing..
Amierah dah siap dgn babychairnye...

Belek2 menu, mak datuk!!not our place..
Sekali makan sama mcm budget makan sebulan..

Dengan muka selamba, kami pun terus beredar..meninggalkan waitress2 yg terpinga2..
aku pun tak smpt nak jamah kacang tanah atas meja tu..
buatnye diorg charge naya gak kan...hehehe

So,kitorg pun pusing2 la pasar philippine & dinner kat situ..
Takde la menu pelbagai, cuma seafood2 yg dibakar...
ok la, jgn kata gi KK tak mkn seafood langsung, ye tak?!!

Scene 6
berbelanja di pasar philippine memang mengasyikkan..
lagi syok kalo poket tu tebal..

sama mcm rantau panjang atau pengkalan kubur di kelantan..
tak cukup setakat pandai loghat tempatan..

kene bwk org tempatan, baru le bole dpt harga murah skt..
kalau tak, jangan harap bah....

Scene 7
jarak antara KK ke Kundasang lebih kurang 90km..
kalo ikut normal speed aku, sejam bole sampai..
oleh kerana tak biasa dgn geografi di Sabah, maybe 2-3 jam gak la kot.
atas nasihat rakan2, kene bertolak awal utk elakkan jln berkabus kalo tgh hari..
maka aku pun inform ahli rombongan bertolak seawal 5.30 pagi..
kalo kt KL,masih terkulat2 lagi baru nak bgn kan..
tp oleh sbb kat KK pkl 4.44am dah subuh, pkl 5.30 tu kire just nice la..
bayangkan la pkl 6am matahari dah terpacak..bukan subuh gajah dah..bapak gajah gamaknye...

not bad, hotel siap tapaukan breakfast.takde la ape sgt, cuma muffin, kek & croissant, apple & air mineral..
better than nothing, ye tak??

dalam perjalanan, kitorg plan la singgah sarapan kat warung2 tepi jalan..
tapi, sampai ke pekan kundasang..satu pun tak jumpa!!
bagus betul org2 sabah ni, makan kat umah agaknye..

dlm perjalanan, sesekali terpandang bdk2 sekolah tgh tunggu van.
melihatkan keadaan mereka berselipar & uniform yg tak berapa nak lengkap..
syukur dgn apa yg kami miliki kini..

another point to ponder...
rase2nye takde sebijik surau or masjid pun yg kami jumpe kat tepi2 jalan..
on the other hand, 10-20 church located kat tepi2 jalan
inilah yg dinamakan syiar..

betapa masih kurangnya dakwah Islam di sana..
tatkala itu, aku kagum dgn geng2 tabligh yg tak berputus asa mengembangkan dakwah..
ternyata terlalu ramai lagi yg perlukan hidayahMU...
mdh2n aku terlibat sama, one way or another..insya-Allah...

Scene 8
duduk di perantauan memang byk cabaran & dugaannya..
kami berkesempatan berjumpa dgn mak ayah Nadey (one of my friends),
yang dah lama menetap di KK..
kire bole dipanggil penghulu la utk org2 semenanjung..

bile di perantauan, kene la rajin bergaul supaya tak jdk kera sumbang..
bile dikenang2 semula...ade hikmahnye aku jatuh sakit ari tu..
plan nak kene anto training setahun ke Jepun ditangguhkan..
mungkin kami blm bersedia physical & mental..

Wallahua'lam..
